π 12th June 1996 β Commemorating 30 Years
On the night of 12th June 1996, two Australian Army Black Hawk helicopters collided during a training exercise near Townsville. The tragedy claimed the lives of 15 SAS soldiers and 3 members of the 5th Aviation Regiment. It remains one of the darkest days in modern Australian military history.
As we approach 2026, we mark 30 years since the accident β and honour the bravery, sacrifice, and service of those who were lost.
This commemorative .75" hard enamel pin is made to remember them. Cast in metallic gold, with a 1.8mm thickness, itβs a premium tribute β clean, strong, and respectfully designed to be worn with pride.
